Riton [UK] Melbourne - Grand Final Holiday Eve

We are glad to welcome the Grammy award-winning Riton back to Brown Alley for an exclusive Melbourne club show this Grand Final public holiday eve.

Best known in recent years for hit singles such as ‘Rinse & Repeat’, ‘Fake I.D.’, ‘Ginger’ + more with quasi bandmate Kah-Lo, Henry ‘Riton’ Smithson is otherwise no stranger to dance music aficionados.

Nominated alongside Kah-Lo for a Grammy in 2017 for ‘Rinse & Repeat’, Riton’s production credits for Diplo and Mark Ronson’s Silk City project saw the Englishman win the coveted Best Dance Recording Grammy prize this year.

Riton emerged with the Ed Banger crew as one half of Carte Blanche with DJ Mehdi, their seminal single ‘Gare Du Nord’ becoming one the biggest-selling Ed Banger releases. A series of singles and EP under his own moniker with a host of respected labels followed alongside global tours and residencies.

Recent musical endeavors are as varied as co-producing Mark Ronson’s collaboration track ‘Daffodils’ with Tame Impala frontman Kevin Parker, touring with Ronson on the 2014 Back To Back tour and taking part in krautrock collective Die Verboten alongside Soulwax.
