Built on electronic soundscapes , Nerve is a place of gathering, where dance and music is a precious commodity. A place that harnesses a community to express themselves freely and authentically, finding new and long lost connections. A new weekly refuge for those seeking the sounds that make us move and feel, featuring techno, UKG and hard-house, spread across 2 rooms. With International headliners and Australia's best acts at the forefront, Nerve serves a purpose to push boundaries like no other.
There’s no signs of slowing down. A new year has arrived, and Nerve continues to grow from strength to strength.
We open our account with our first international artist, Tommy Holohan. Labeled as one of the spearheads of the recent rave revival over the past few years, Holohan has done much more than attach himself to a trend throughout his rise to the tip of the techno refuge. Continuing our run of international guests, Alex Wilcox is in the driver seat. A composer of eclectic club music and DJ’s only his own productions in a genre-less chaotic whirlwind involving hard cuts, numerous BPM changes and existential theatrical moments.
Our third week, home-grown local hero, Bella Claxton joins forces with Dutch DJ, Tjade for a huge B2B set. Fresh off the back of a massive closing set at Novel’s smalltown rave, Bella Claxton has become notorious for her infectious and high-energy sets. As for Tjade, the uplifting prog house and early trance selector has been part of the Dutch underground dance scene for more than ten years and has seen a meteoric rise throughout Europe ever since he started producing his own music. Jerb rounds off another stellar month of Nerve. A DJ and producer who continues to push the boundary, with his signature blend of rave inspired techno, raw grooves and break beat selections. His unique flavour has solidified his production as the anthem of the current rave resurgence.
We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land this event is taking place upon, the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation, and we pay our respects to their Elders of past and present.
