* KARINA CHAVEZ *

Originally from Adelaide, is a powerhouse vocalist who’s been making waves in the music scene for almost two decades. With a voice that’s both powerful and soulful, she effortlessly blends genres like Top 40, RnB, Rock, Soul, and Jazz.

Karina became a club favorite with her massive hit “Show Me Love,” which not only snagged an ARIA nomination but also kicked off eight chart-topping singles from the album “Get Lucky.” After that success, she toured internationally and across Australia, teaming up with DJs and dropping even more dance tracks.

Her latest collab with Sgt Slick shot her to the top of Traxsource, proving she’s still a force to be reckoned with.

A multi-versed queer artist of sorts, Bra (size) DD has much to squeeze!

Starting out as drag oddity Ida Knowe, they have performed nationally and internationally and have honed-in and continue to build their craft as a performance artist, hostress, DJ, music producer, event producer, singer and an all-round mixed nut. (Think of a hyperactive kooky carton of milk, on stilts). They’ve recently dipped their tootsies into the world of burlesque, and are ROARING to show you a spankin’ good time! 💖

Time to get a bit milky with Bra (size) DD! 🍼

* DJ / REMIXER CARMINE ROMANO *

From the young age of 14, he started developing his sound through parties and private functions for friends and family. In 1995, he took his step into the industry at club Saratoga (Melbourne). Mixing Deep House sounds, very quickly he gained attention throughout the Melbourne underground club scene. Through the mid-90s, he toured international events such as DMC World Technics (Italy) and moved his way throughout Europe and the UK. Returning back home, the late-90s saw Carmine build his name at numerous iconic clubs such as Monkey, The Mansion, The Dome, Uranus, Redheads, Subway and The Milk Bar.

Having established a presence for himself at home, he began to collaborate with international DJs Mark Farina, David Seaman, Judge Jules, Jeremy Healey, Derrick Carter and the legendary Grammy award winner Frankie Knuckles.

In 1999, Carmine ventured to the USA, at the Miami winter music conference. His hard work, persistence and humble nature saw his career continue to get bigger and brighter. The Ministry of Sound, Savage at the Paladin, Tasty, Trade Tour, Monkey (Sydney) and the massive Style AID event (Sydney) are just some of the events where he was a feature act.

Carmine then gained a permanent residency at Seven nightclub and Freakazoid (Melbourne). This is where he collaborated with Steve ‘Silk’ Hurley, Kenny ‘Dope’ Gonzalez, Teddy Douglas, Bob Sinclair and Vocalists Chance and Latanza Waters. Recently he has featured on Radio Stations Kiss FM, Triple J and PBS (Melb).

His career has not only been limited to behind the Decks, but also organising and producing events at the Market nightclub where with his bachelor of audio engineering degree skills rebuilt the sound system to be the finest in Melbourne. His time there saw him reconnect with Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, Louie Vega, Deep Swing, Knee Deep, Nicky Siano, Quentin Harris, Sandy Rivera (Kings of Tomorrow) and Vocalists Barbara Tucker, Inaya Day, Kathy Brown and Martha Wash.

In 2024 Carmine continues to deliver his signature style lighting up dance floors around Australia.

*DISKO FREAKZ*

Disko Freakz are a Melbourne dance music duo (DJ Phunkee & Damian D) who have been setting dance floors on fire for decades.

Having worked at numerous iconic venues across Melbourne and with a shared passion for soul, funk, disco, and house music, they have been collecting and curating music for over 30 years, bringing their wealth of experience and knowledge to every performance.

So we sat down and asked DISKO Freakz to tell us a little bit more about themselves and what they have in store for the upcoming Halloween event at Brown Alley.

We are told that whether it's a classic disco anthem, a funky groove, or a soulful house track, Disko Freakz diverse music collection and impeccable taste will ensure it’s an unforgettable journey through the best sounds of past and present.

Their love for music is evident and clearly shines through. They blew the roof off at the last event (White Party 30th August ) so we can’t wait to see them perform again on Friday 25th October. DISKO FREAKZ will be performing a two hour set from midnight to 2am.

*Meet DJ Anubis: A Journey Through Sound and Creativity

We spoke with DJ Anubis ahead of his much-anticipated performance at the Where Love Lives Halloween Party on Friday, October 25th. Here’s what he had to say about his artistic evolution and what’s in store for the event.

“I’ve always seen myself as an artist, and I infuse that creative spirit into everything I do. The creation of DJ Anubis has allowed me to share my art with people through music, connecting with audiences in an entirely new way. This transformation has opened up exciting opportunities, and I’m now stepping into the world of club DJing—something I’ve dreamt of for a long time.

My passion for DJing was sparked back in 1991 when I started as a lighting operator in nightclubs. Over the years, I worked with Razor Promotions on iconic events at venues like Savage, Redheads, Tasty Nightclub, and The Market Hotel. Throughout this time, I built a diverse music collection, always envisioning myself behind the decks, but it wasn’t until recently that I made that vision a reality.

Today, I’m proud to be a resident DJ for Where Love Lives events, as well as having held a residency at Pride of Our Footscray Nightclub, where I’ve had the chance to forge deep connections with both the crowd and the music.

When it comes to my sets, I’m focused on crafting a seamless musical journey. I carefully select tracks that speak to the audience, ensuring each song contributes to the overall flow and atmosphere. I owe a lot to the brilliant producers who create such stunning music. My sound is diverse, so for the Where Love Lives Halloween Party, expect an eclectic blend of deep to uplifting, grimy, and a touch of psychedelic house.”
