Hot Mess: Politics Of Dancing [Paris, Fr] + Pepperpot

Friday 16th August 2019

French House is the best House and Hot Mess is back with some favourites of the Parisian underground & a Politics of Dancing records showcase!

Politics Of Dancing [Paris, Fr]

Politics of Dancing brings together two strong figures of the Parisian night club scene, S.M.A.L.L and PACO. Together they run Politics Of Dancing Records / P.O.D CROSS a collaborations and featuring label that since their inception have showcased the likes of Sebo K, D'Julz, Djebali, Chris Stussy & Boris Werner amongst others.

As their paths often crossed in record shops, clubs and behind the decks, it appeared clear to them that this unconditional love for all genres of black music, and a common appetite for digging records would lead them to combine their DJ skills as a team.

From that point, Politics of Dancing was formed and they naturally found their way to the studio. Their dedication and hours spent behind the decks lead the duo to perfect their natural skills of entertaining the crowd, and slowly the Parisian duo started gaining a bigger audience.

Now, their productions on Politics Of Dancing Records and P.O.D CROSS, delight the dance floors worldwide, in the hands of the likes of Apollonia or Ricardo Villalobos to name but a few.

In one night, those two long time friends are capable of transporting you from the funkiest Chicago classic to the deepest bass heavy roller and we can't wait for them to make their Melbourne debut!

Pepperpot [Sydney, Aus]

DJing since 1992, Pepperpot has been one of the key figures of the French electronic music scene for a long time. Playing music for over 2 decades he has shared the decks with the most highly regarded global artists across all the shades of electronic music.

His passion for sound is uniquely projected through the depth, breadth and power of the music he plays. Spinning and blending a slew of deeply complex, organic electronic rhythms from the worlds of House, Minimal and Techno, he captures and directs the dancefloor in a way that only a truly experienced DJ can.

As resident of the legendary REX CLUB in Paris for 8 years, his influence has had a subtle yet profound impact on the scene, and his work has been instrumental in the city’s revival as an electronic music mecca.

Since 2016 he has dedicated himself to the sandstone bedrock of Sydney, Australia – holding a residency at Sydney's premiere Sunday event - S*A*S*H and the pinnacle of Australia's festival calendar - Subsonic Music Festival.
