After Ours

Friday 22nd December 2017

Welcome to the first edition of After Ours, where we hope to provide something new and fresh for Melbourne’s nightlife, music and art scene… something for the discerning partygoer who craves more than the recycled club show template…

Heading the musical direction of the night we have two of the very best in Kate Millar (WAT Artists) and Dreems (Multi Culti), supported by a luscious spread of Melbourne tastemakers. Expect fine electronica, techno and the many facets of contemporary house music.

Complimenting the night’s soundscapes will be a team of emerging artists, exploring the themes of sex, love and death through visual art, décor and visual projections. Our guests will have the opportunity to engage with live art, installations and sensory stimuli in dedicated spaces.

Kate Miller – Having grown as a DJ in Melbourne’s house scene, Kate moved to Berlin in 2011 to broaden her musical horizons. Since living in the German capital Kate has become one of the city’s prolific DJs, playing at some of the most infamous institutions such as Berghain/Panorama Bar, About Blank, and the deep end at Stattbad’s legendary pool before it was sadly closed down. Kate Miller’s style is constantly developing, her sets are varied and ever evolving, going from the most recent releases to classic old school gems, merging the funky and the dreamy, the uplifting and the dark. We are thrilled to host Kate, fresh off the plane as she returns to home soil.

Dreems - Cosmic Sherpa. Liberator of Tantric Avatars. Australian. Dreems has a message for you, one expressed not only through the animal lifeblood of his music, but through the efforts of his label Multi Culti. With a roster featuring artists like Clarian, Thomash, Crowdpleaser, and label co-shaman Thomas Von Party, the imprint strains and throbs against the restrictive meta-thongs of contemporary electronic lifestyle living to offer a pan-globo-sexual soulstyle for our times
